This week on From the Vault, we listen to actors Paul Newman and John Cassavetes at the October 1970 San Francisco International Film Festival. Recorded and produced by Alan Farley at KPFA, these recordings exist as some of the only known footage from the Festival, which through the years included the likes of Bette Davis, Ruth Gordon, Burt Lancaster, and Robert Altman.
From the Vault is presented through the Pacifica Radio Archives Preservation and Access Project, funded in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, past grants from the Grammy Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the American Archive funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, along with the generous support of Pacifica Radio Listeners.
